Having taken victory in the Donegal Bay CC 10 mile TT last week as Irish cycling emerged out of lock-down, George Peden has done it again.

The 20-year-old from Ballymoney in Co Antrim was best last night in the first round of the Foyle Cycling Club 10 Mile TT series in Co Donegal.

He recorded a time of 19:17, just five seconds off his marker of last week. That was enough to see off former Continental-level rider Ronan McLaughlin, who finished in 2nd place on the night.

McLaughlin (Dan Morrissey) was 46 seconds off the pace of the flying Peden, with Mark McGinley of Four Masters CC in 3rd place, some 2:37 down on the winner.
