Paidi O'Brien has won the John Drumm Cup Memorial in Currow, County Kerry this afternoon.
The Banteer man, riding for the Osbourne Meats-Edge Sports Shop team, outsprinted his neighbour and training partner Eddie Dunbar after the duo had broken away from the day's other breakaway man, Mick Fitzgerald (VeloRevolution).
For Dunbar, it is two runners-up places in as many days after he went to the line with Damien Shaw in the Shay Elliott Memorial yesterday in Co Wicklow before being beaten there too.
But he won't worry about being bested by such classy opposition, with the dominant junior now putting it up to the very best elite riders in the country and beating the vast majority
Fitzgerald hung on for 3rd place, with Denis Dunworth (Tralee BC-Manor West) 4th over the line after leading in a mini-chase group that contained around three others.
