Orla Walsh (UCD Cycling Club) has ended the 2023 season as the top-ranked rider in the W1 Cycling Ireland rankings. The women's category is divided into three categories - W1, W2 and W3 - with 19 riders scoring points in the W1 rankings.
Walsh emerged on top with a tally of 59 points, after scoring in eight races and taking two wins; the Waller Cup in Bohermeen, Co Meath, and Stephen Roche GP in Dundrum, south Dublin. She was also 2nd in two stages of the Newry Three Day.
Walsh was top of the rankings from UCD team mate Jennifer Neenan, on 41 points, with Jemma Spears (North Down CC) 3rd on 40 points.

First-year senior Erin Creighton (McConvey Cycles) was 4th, on 37 points, with Linda Kelly (Spin the Bean Power by Coffee) 5th, on 26 points, and Caoimhe O'Brien (Belco Van Eyck) 6th on 25 points.

Neenan's 2nd place in the rankings came courtesy of a stage win at the Newry Three Day, as well as four 2nd places, including on Newry Three Day, John Drumm Cup, Brian O'Loughlin Memorial and Life Credit Union Newbridge GP.
Speers took 10 of her 40 points with general classification victory at the Newry Three Day, where she was also 2nd and 8th on stages. She was also 2nd and 3rd in two rounds of the Cycling Ireland National Road Series; the Donal Crowley Memorial and John Drumm Cup.
