Paidi O’Brien has made it two wins from two in the Kerry Group Rás Mumhan, thus ensuring he will retain custody of the yellow jersey for the penultimate stage tomorrow.

It was his fifth win of the season and the first time in many years a yellow jersey wearer has won a stage in the Kerry Easter showdown.

The Osbourne Meats-McCarthy Cycles rider blasted to victory in sun-spoilt Kenmare this afternoon, leading a front group of less than 40 riders home.

Harry Tanfield of the Continental-ranked JLT Condor team was 2nd to O'Brien, having also filled the runner-up spot when the Irishman won yesterday's opening stage.

Jack Barrett of the Scottish National Team rounded out the podium today.
