O'Brien (17) seizes yellow in A2-A3 Charleville Three Day | Full results

Liam O'Brien has won the morning TT and claimed the yellow jersey ahead of the final stage at the A2-A3 Charleville Two Day

Liam O'Brien (Munster Cycling Academy) has won the morning TT stage 2 and taken the yellow jersey at the A2-A3 Charleville Two Day today. O'Brien, who was in the breakaway on the opening road stage yesterday, went into this afternoon's stage with a slender lead on his nearest rivals.

He won this morning's test by four seconds from Tim Walton of St Tiernan's CC, with Dom Jackson of Foran CC 3rd at eight seconds. Patrick O'Loughlin (Panduit Carrick Wheelers) took 4th at 18 seconds while Mark Pinfield (Blarney CC) rounded out the top five at 18 seconds.

In the overall standings, O'Brien went into this afternoon's stage with a four-second lead over Walton with Jackson at eight second and O'Loughlin and Pinfield at 4th and 5th at 18 seconds.
