Mark Reilly claimed a win to rival his overall victory in the Gorey Three-Day last year when he just about managed to hang onto the yellow jersey on the final stage of the Bogman Two-Day on Sunday afternoon.
The Fitscience man, riding for Lucan CRC over the weekend, took control of the race on Sunday morning when he finished third on the 8k time-trial.
That was enough to see him move to the top of the standings ahead of the final stage.

His advantage over next-best rider Eoghan Clifford of Galway Bay CC was only three seconds while the others in the top 10 starting Sunday afternoon’s road stage were within a minute of him.
So the gauntlet was very much laid down to Reilly and his two teammates, Ronan Killeen and Michael Leonard.
As expected, the 85-kilometre stage was an ultra-aggressive affair but Lucan CRC played it to absolute perfection, shutting down anything dangerous, with Reilly particularly prominent at the front.
A break of eight did manage to escape late on with the best-placed overall being John O’Fitzpatrick (CKR CC) at 51 seconds with the aforementioned Nugent (Seven Springs CC) at 54 seconds.
Others in the move were Jarlath Hassett (Burren CC), Keith Hughes (Team Bikeworx), Shane Power (Waterford Racing Club), Ronan Killeen (Lucan CRC) and Richard Meaney (Westport Covey Wheelers CC).
They all worked well and contested the sprint but it was the Nugent who managed to get the verdict from Jarlath Hassett (Burren CC) with Keith Hughes (Team Bikeworx Celbridge) rounding out the podium.
