Clodagh Ní Ghallchóir and Autumn Collins were the big winners at the weather-interrupted National Track Championships at the weekend. Ní Ghallchóir crowned her return from injury from the sport with an individual national title win while Collins was the only rider to take two gold medals from the meeting.

While the men's 1km title was due to be decided, it has been postponed to later this month due to rain interrupting the schedule this weekend. However, the men's and women's team pursuit and team sprints were held and the medals decided.

Donegal's Ní Ghallchóir (UCD Cycling Club), who returned to competition last season after being away from the sport for a period due to a knee injury, was best in the women's 500m TT. She clocked a time of 38.83 to beat Deirbhle Ivory (Longcourt Hotel-NCW) and Orla Mary Harrison (Arcane Cycling Team) in the battle gold. Ivory recorded a time of 39.06 to take silver with Harrison taking bronze in 41.25.
