The women’s team pursuit squad has gotten Ireland’s campaign underway at the UCI World Cup in Glasgow this evening, Thursday.

Cycling Ireland has stayed with the new-look line-up that
rode so well in Minsk to shatter the Irish record.

Former Team GB rider Emily Kay and Ireland’s junior track
star of the past two years Lara Gillespie came into the line-up for the first
time in Minsk.

They got the nod again for the UCI World Cup in Glasgow
where they joined Mia Griffin, Kelly Murphy and Alice Sharpe in the team
pursuit line-up; four to race and one sub.

The Olympic qualification final phase is now underway and
every result for every Irish rider is now crucial.
