National Road Series | Senior and junior overall standings after two rounds

The Cycling Ireland National Road Series third round will take place this weekend an the Brian O'Loughlin Memorial in Co Mayo, enter here. Though there are just two rounds completed so far, gaps are opening up in the overall results, even at the top of the standings.

So far 34 riders (details below) have scored points in the senior men's series with 20 senior women having collected points between the opening two rounds. In the junior ranks, the men's series features 10 riders on the scoreboard so far and five in the junior women's series.

Daire Feeley (All human-VeloRevolution) leads the senior men's series, on 70 points. He won the opening round, the Donal Crowley Memorial in Blarney, and placed 3rd in the second round, which was the Des Hanlon Memorial in Carlow.

Conn McDunphy (Lucan CRC) is 2nd in the series, on 60 points, with Luke Smith (Moynalty CC) 3rd and Matthew Devins (Team Dan Morrissey-Primor) 4th on 40 points and Lindsay Watson (Powerhouse Sport) 5th with 35 points. McDunphy 2nd in the first round and 5th in the 2nd, with Smith finishing 3rd and 6th in the two races so far. Devins, in 4th, won the Des Hanlon and did not ride the opening round of the series.

In the women's series, the O'Brien sisters - Aoife and Caoimhe - have won the two opening rounds. Aoife (Spellman Dublin Port) won in Blarney and was 2nd in Carlow, meaning she leads the series with a total of 75 points. Jemma Speers of North Down CC is 2nd overall on 51 points, having place 2nd on Blarney and also picking up 16 points for 9th at the Des Hanlon. Erin Creighton (McConvey Cycles) is 3rd on 50 points, gained via 3rd in Blarney and 5th in Carlow.

Victory at the Des Hanlon is enough for Caoimhe O'Brien (Unattached) to place 4th in the senior women's series so far, with 40 points. Yvonne Doran (Orwell Wheelers) is 5th in the series, with 38 points, while Ella Doherty (UCD CC) is 6th on 30 points.

The junior men's series is being led by Killian O’Brien (Orwell Wheelers CC) on 25 points from Willem O’Connor (JEGG-DJR Academy) on 22 points and Liam O’Brien (Fermoy CC) on 20 points.

Hannah Hayes (TC Racing) leads the junior women's series with 26 points. Shauna Finn (Arcane CT) is 2nd on 16 points while Aine Doherty (VC Glendale) is 3rd on 10 points.
