Kelly Murphy and Marcus Christie have continued to build their TT form as the National Road Championships approach by taking two wins apiece at the weekend.

Yesterday national champion Murphy (Storey Racing) and Christie (Performance SBR) were fastest in the Thomas White 10 Mile TT in Warrenpoint.

Murphy recorded a time of 20:56 to just beat Eve McCrystal (Strata 3-VeloRevolution) by eight seconds with Eileen Burns (Ballymena Road Club) in 3rd place in a time of 22:19.

In the men's race, promoted by Banbridge CC, Christie clocked a time of 19:11, beating Bryan McCrystal (Bellurgan Wheelers) by 25 seconds with Paul Kennedy (Spellman Dublin Port) in 3rd a further 29 seconds back.

Christie had won the Ulster 25 Mile TT Champs 24 hours earlier while Murphy had claimed victory in the Naas Open TT, also on Saturday.

In yesterday's event in Warrenpoint an Irish national record also fell; paracyclist Richael Timothy (Castlerea Cycling Club) recording a time of 26:49.

That lowered the Irish 10 mile TT record of 27:24 in the C3W paracycling classification, set by Timothy twelve months ago.
