UCD's Eoin Morton does it again with victory from three man break in Moynalty

The sight of UCD's Eoin Morton crossing the line with his hands in the air has become a familair one for the rest of the domestic peloton this season. Seen here leading the breakaway in the Eddie Tobin Memorial last weekend (Photo: Sean Rowe)

Swords man Eoin Morton kept up his fantastic run of good form with victory at the inaugural Moynalty Grand Prix in Meath today.

Morton of the strong UCD club went clear with Danny Bruton of AC Bisontine and Ryan Sherlock on the second of three undulating 30km laps.

The trio had just 20 seconds advantage over the chasers going through for the bell lap.

Perhaps the fatigue of only arriving back from the World Student Games at 8.30pm last night was a factor in Bruton dropping back in the final kilometres, leaving Morton and Sherlock to contest the final sprint, with Morton taking his fourth win of the season.

He has already picked up victories at the Harry Reynolds Memorial, the Meath Prix and the Eddie Tobin Memorial and appears to be the man in form on the domestic scene at the moment.
