Michael O'Loughlin great ride at Euro TT Champs
Michael O'Loughlin has put in a very good ride in the U23 TT at the European Championships.
The Carrick-on-Suir man, riding for Team Wiggins this year, finished in 11th place.
He went around the 31.5km course in wet conditions in Herning, Denmark, in a time of 39:19. He was just one second off the top 10.
O'Loughlin, who still has two years left at U23 level, was 1:46 off the winner's time.
The other Irishman in the test, Eddie Dunbar, came home in 19th place in a time of 39:55
Dunbar had been 6th in the TT at the Europeans last year and would have been expected to press for a medal today.

He will be disappointed with his ride, but still has the road race to come at these championships.
The home nation cleaned up in today's U23 TT. Denmark took gold and silver with Kasper Asgreen and Mikkel Bjerg.

French rider Corentin Ermenault took home the bronze medal.
Asgreen said it had been raining almost constantly in Denmark for the last month.
And he believed having prepared in the wet in recent weeks, the conditions may have suited him better than others.
