The Irish paracycling team has won four medals, including two golds, at the Huntsville Para World Cup in Alabama, United States. The new tandem pairing of Katie-George Dunlevy and Linda Kelly won both the road race and TT.
Meanwhile, their compatriots Josephine Healion and Eve McCrystal were competing on a second Irish tandem in the same events, winning silver in the road race - a 1-2 for Ireland - and placing 5th in the TT.
Ronan Grimes, also a Worlds and Europeans gold medal winner, claimed bronze in the men's C4 road race and just missed out on a medal in the TT, where he finished 4th. Grimes was not the only one to just finish off the podium in the US, with Richael Timothy 4th in C3 road race and Damien Vereker and Mitchell McLaughlin 4th in the men's tandem road race.
In the TT, Dunlevy and Kelly clocked 37:50 in the 29.6km race, which was over half a minute quicker than their nearest rivals. In the road race, Dunlevy and Kelly soloed to victory some five minutes ahead of a four-tandem chasing group.
Healion and McCrystal were in that group with two Team GB bikes and the Polish pairing, with the Irish riders timing their gallop to perfection to claim silver.
World champion Grimes claimed his second World Cup medal of the season with his bronze in the road race and was just 14 seconds off bronze in the TT.
