Eddie Dunbar's teammate Christopher Lawless went close to bagging a stage win today for the team but had to be content with second to Colombian Juan Sebastien Molano (Manzana Postobon). With two stages remaining Dunbar is in sixth position on GC, 21 seconds down.

Eddie Dunbar lost the white jersey of best young rider at the Volta ao Alentejo in Portugal today but he has two days remaining to try and get it back.
The 20-year old Corkman riding for Axeon Hagens Berman was 30th on today’s third stage of the race, two seconds behind stage winner Juan Sebastien Molano of the Colombian Pro Continental outfit Manzana Postobon.
He led home Dunbar’s teammate Christopher Lawless with race leader Carlos Barbero of Movistar taking third as well as extending his advantage in the points classification.
Dunbar lost the jersey because the man who took it off him, Jasper de Laat of Metec – TKH Continental Cyclingteam p/b Mantel, finished ninth on the stage and took a couple of precious time bonus seconds.
Dunbar, second, slipped a little to a rival today but he's still right in the hunt near the top of the general standings.
They are now tied on the same GC time with Dunbar slipping to sixth and De Laat up to fifth at 21 seconds.
There’s still plenty to play for tomorrow with two climbs on the 175-kilometre stage and two more on Sunday’s concluding stage.
It was a good day too for Sean McKenna of the An Post Chain Reaction team who managed to infiltrate the break of six riders that escaped after 80 kilometres and built a lead of around three minutes before they were reeled back in inside 30 kilometres to go.
Also in the escape were Dan Turek (Cycling Academy), Anton Vorobyev (Gazprom-Rusvelo), Evan Huffman (Rally Cycling), Domingues Gonçalve (Radio Popular Boavista) and Diego Rubio (Caja-Rural).
Conor Hennebry finished the stage 1:50 down and is 98th overall at 20:16.
