Marcus Christie and Kelly Murphy best at 'Thomas White 10 Mile TT'

Marcus Christie has extended his brilliant run of victories against the watch this year by winning the Thomas White Memorial 10 Mile TT in Co Down today.

The Performance SBR rider clocked a time of 18:37 for the distance, and while he has previously gone below 18 minutes in a '10', his winning margin today revealed the quality of his performance.

Mitchell McLaughlin (SwiftPro Carbon) put in a great ride to take 2nd place on the day, though he was 1:07 down on the winner. Lindsay Watson of Powerhouse Sport, claimed the final spot on the podium in a time of 19:47, beating his team mate Aaron Wade by just two seconds.

In the women’s
race, national elite individual pursuit champion, UCI World Cup team pursuit
winner and former national TT champion, Kelly Murphy, was best.

Rupelcleaning rider showed she is in great form as the National Road
Championships get closer, clocking a time of 23:28 today.

Ulster TT
champion Ciara Havern (Newry
Wheelers CC) was 2nd in the women’s
race today, some 45 seconds down on the flying Murphy.
