Marcus Christie has extended his strong run of results
against the watch in recent months with victory today in the Champion of
Champions 25 mile TT.
The Performance SBR rider also broke the course recorded today in Newtownards, with a time of 49:25.
That was over five minutes faster than runner-up Ross Hamilton of Orwell Wheelers, who recorded a time of 54:48.
Alan Patterson of the promoting club, Ards Cycling Club,
rounded out the podium in the men’s category today, with a time of 55:00

The women’s race was won by Ciara Havern of Newry Wheelers,
whose time of 1:05:04 beat Catherine Mahoney (UCD Cycling) by 58 seconds.
