More accustomed to winning races against the watch, Marcus Christie has claimed victory at the Noel Teggart Memorial.

At the end of the Banbridge CC road race promotion today he was out on his own.

Christie (SBR Performance) claimed the win 40 seconds clear of Darnell Moore of Caldwell Cycles.

Another 1½ minutes would elapse before Lindsay Watson of Powerhouse Sport finished on his own to round out the podium.

Just behind him came a group led home by Craig McAuley (Caldwell Cycles) from David Montgomery (Unattached) and James Curry (VC La Pomme Marseille).

In the A3 race Aaron Watson of Dromara CC claimed victory in a sprint from the breakaway.
