Rafał Majka (UAE Team Emirates) has won stage 3 at Tour de Pologne after running Michał Kwiatkowski (Ineos Grenadiers) across the road in the final sprint to the line after an uphill and technical finish.

Majka led into a very narrow section with just over 200m to go and after the road then widened to the line Kwiatkowski tried to pass him on his right but was run across the road. That move meant Majka held on to win, with yellow jersey Matej Mohorič (Bahrain-Victorious) lunging for 2nd and a protesting Kwiatkowski being forced into 3rd place.

That trio proved strongest at the front of the bunch, which was whittled down to about 50 riders by the end of the 162.3km stage from Wałbrzych to Duszniki-Zdrój. Thw finish featured a climb and then a descent, before a kick up of just over 1km to the line.

Eddie Dunbar (Jayco AlUla) slipped back a little in the group as the power was turned on at the front in the final 500m. However, he finished in the group of 25 riders all credited with the same time as the winner and is now 8th overall, some 20 seconds on race leader Mohorič.
