Having made the crucial four-man winning move on the opening stage of Rás Mhaigh Eo on Saturday, Ronan Killeen and his Lucan CRC team played their cards nicely on Sunday's final stage to take home the yellow jersey from the two-day, despite the presence of a very strong double stage winner in the shape of Derek Burke.
The later, riding for Seeng.ie, won that opening stage on Saturday and also took the yellow jersey and lead in the climbers' classification. However, a poor 8km stage 2 time trial on Sunday morning let him down.

He could only manage 46th in the short test, losing 2:08 to winner Jason Prendergast (Liquidworx Fitscience)
Lucan CRC's Killeen was 2nd to Burke on the opening road stage and of the four-man escape that gained 1:46 on most of the field, he was quickest in Sunday morning's time trial, finishing 12th and going into the yellow jersey ahead of the final road stage in the afternoon.
Killeen led going into the final stage by just three seconds from Bill Delaney of South Dublin CC, who was also in Saturday's stage 1 escape.
In third place overall was Killeen’s team mate Mark Reilly, exactly one minute off the lead after coming in on his own on the opening stage some 1:28 down the breakaway but a vital 18 seconds clear of the bunch.
On Sunday the yellow jersey made no mistake, coming home in a group of 29 riders that lost just 13 seconds to stage winner Burke.
That result saw status quo at the top of the general qualification, with Killeen maintaining his three second cushion over South Dublin CC's Delaney in 2nd place.
Mark Reilly of Lucan CRC was 3rd - a great ride for the Dublin club - with Daire Feeley (Donamon Dynamos) in 4th place.
