Limerick's O'Callaghan wins from Moynihan in Robinstown

Mark O'Callaghan, leading, has taken a really strong victory for Limerick CC in Robinstown, Co Meath.

Mark O’Callaghan has taken a fantastic win at the Tommy Brady Memorial in Robinstown, Co Meath, this evening.

The Limerick CC man was too quick at the finish for the others in the strong man’s group that pulled clear in the handicapped race run over seven laps of a five-mile circuit.

The combined A1-A2 group were chasing the A3s at the start for one minute, with the A4 limit group given three minutes.

A breakaway emerged from the A1-A2 group, catching the A3s and going up to the A4 bunch up ahead.

The strongest of those A4s were able to hold their place at the front, with O’Callaghan taking victory from some very strong riders, including Cathal Moynihan who took 2nd place for Aquablue.
