Leinster & Louth Hill Climb Champs | Wade best in Jenkinstown

Aaron Wade (U Cube 17), better known for his sprinting powers, was best in the combined Leinster and Louth Hill Climb Championships on Jenkinstown Hill in Co Louth. He set the fastest time - 4:32 - on the night, some 11 seconds faster than runner-up Tomas Mc Cabe (Un-Attached Leinster).

Daragh Harford (McNally Swords CC), Michael Phelan (Spellman Dublin Port) and Aaron Hayes (Skane Wheelers) were all next in the men's race; the trio recording the same time some 19 seconds down on Wade.

In the women's event, Yvonne Doran (Orwell Wheelers Cycling Club) was fastest, in a time of 6:30. It was very tight at the top, with Breda Murphy (Marble City Cyclers) 2^nd at just two seconds. Ciara Kinch, of host club Cuchulainn CC, was 3^rd just 10 seconds down on the night.
