Lara Gillespie (UAE Team ADQ) has taken her first win of the season after dominating the very tough final at A Travers les Hauts de France today. The victory signals the Irish rider is in some very good form for the last part of the season.

Her win also tops off a fantastic 2025 campaign to date, which has been her first season racing on the roads of Europe for extended periods without having track racing commitments.

Today, at the end of 127.7km of racing from Péronne to Arleux-en-Gohelle in France, Gillespie absolutely dominated the finish, in very wet conditions.

It was a war of attrition through the day, with the main field numbering just 40 riders by the finish. However, Gillespie had three team mates with her in the shape of Hannah Kunz, Francesca Pellegrini and Sofie van Rooijen.

They worked to position the Irish rider in the final, where she unleased her sprint to win by quite a distance, with one second back to the rest of the riders in the front group.

Britain's Carys Lloyd (Movistar Team) was 2nd, with Dutch rider Eline Jansen (VolkerWessels Pro Cycling) in 3rd.
