Kelly Murphy has taken 4th in the individual pursuit at the European Track Championships in Holland.
The Irish TT champion blasted her way into the ride-off for the bronze medal after finishing fourth in the qualifying round.
Her time there was a new Irish record of 3:30.687, just over 3½ seconds faster than the previous marker of 3:34.257 set by Worlds medalist Caroline Ryan six years ago.
That position was good enough for Murphy to progress to the bronze ride-off against Katie Archibald of Great Britain.
It was Archibald who claimed the bronze with Kelly taking 4th in the competition; her time for her second ride clocked at 3:32.925.
It was a career-best result for Murphy who also rode in the team pursuit qualifiers on Wednesday when the Irish quarter was 9th.
