
Irish endurance rider Joe Barr has been in action in the US; taking victory in Sebring 24. The 24-hour race, in Florida, saw 62-year-old Barr clocking 481.6 miles, or 775km, during the event.
He was in a field of 37 riders and claimed victory by 16 miles from US rider
Marshall Nord, with another American, Ingolf Micklisch, placing 3rd some 43 miles off Barr's total.
The Sebring 24, a qualifying event for Race Across America (Raam), is held on open roads in Florida before the riders move onto the Sebring motor racing circuit, where Barr finished his ride earlier today.
