Jennifer Neenan, Conor Verbruggen best at Hammond TTs, Wicklow

Jennifer Neenan and Conor Verbruggen have won the women's and men's races respectively at the Noel and Kieran Hammond Memorial TTs in Co Wicklow.

Neenan, who has been racing in France this year with UVCA Troyes, topped the women's podium today in a time of 56.48 for the 32.5km event in Roundwood.

She had a winning margin of 2:11 over runner-up Suzanne White (Sorrento CC), with Lorraine Harrington (SERC) placing 3rd in a time of 62.52.

In the men’s race, Conor Verbruggen of Bray Wheelers took a convincing victory; the 28-year-old clocking a time of 46.38.

He was 41 seconds up on Greg Swinand (Dan Morrissey-MIG-Pactimo), with Ian Donnelly of host club Orwell Wheelers in 5th in a time of 48.06.
