Jason Prendergast has made it two wins in as many weeks and six for the season so far with a fine solo victory at the Tourmakeady Festival Race in Co Mayo last night.
The Liquidworx-Fitscience man attacked the front group with around two kilometres to go and claimed the win with mere seconds to spare from the fast-finishing Padraig Marrey (of the host club, Western Lakes CC and David Brennan (Castlebar CC).
The race was only 50 kilometres, two laps of a 25 kilometre course, but with a number of testing hills, the handicapped event didn’t take long come back together.
And Prendergast showed he’s right on form for a good result at next weekend’s Suir Valley3-Day when he took the spoils with a late attack.
