James Davenport wins Beechmount Cup with solo move from Mark Dowling & Paul Kennedy

James Davenport has taken a very good win in the Beechmount Cup; continuing a strong 2013 campaign for the South Dublin CC man.

After putting in some very strong rides in a season that has seen him come to the fore more than ever on the home scene, James Davenport has taken a very good win at the Beechmount Cup in Kilmessan, Co Meath.

The 50km race this evening, Saturday, saw the South Dublin CC man soloing to a lone victory some 20 seconds ahead of the bunch sprint that settled the minor placings.

That gallop was won by the in-form Mark Dowling of Polygon Sweet Nice with Paul Kennedy using his renowned kick to round out the podium for McNally Swords CC.
