Jake Gray, Angus Fyffe make the grade at U23 Gent-Wevelgem

Eddie Dunbar has taken a top 20 result in the U23 Nations Cup after some of his team mates had spent most of Gent-Wevelgem up the road yesterday.
Team Ireland riders Angus Fyffe and Jake Gray spent much of the 185km other on the attack.
And though the breakaway they were in split once it hit the steep ramps that littered the course, they can be very pleased with their ride.
Eddie Dunbar crossing the finish line, he was 16th and best of the Irish team in the Nations Cup event.

The race was won by Team GB’s Jacob Hennessy from American Ian Garrison and Rasmus Fossum Tiller of Norway.

They were part of a seven-man group that came to the finish 19 seconds ahead of another eight-man group.
Best of the Irish was Eddie Dunbar; placing 16th at 23 seconds after finishing in the third group on the road.
Daire Feeley was next, in 40th place, with Fyffe in 45th despite his breakaway heroics. Both were in a large group 58 seconds down on the winner.
Darragh O’Mahony was 79th in a group 9:45 down while Marc Heaney was listed as a non-finished.
