The Meath Road Race Championships were won by Jack Caldwell of Gerard-DHL in Beauparc, Navan.

Jack Caldwell won the Meath Road Race Championships last evening at Beauparc, Navan.

The Gerard-DHL man finished solo just ahead of Tim O’Regan of Killarney CC.

And rounding out the podium on the night was Navan Road Club’s Sean Nolan; the 16-year-old junior rider more than holding his own against the elites.

Caldwell broke clear on the third of five 8.8km laps. He led solo for a period before being joined a lap later by O’Regan.

The duo held off the chasers by about 10 seconds, with young Nolan showing his mettle to prove best of the rest for 3^rd on the night.
