Jack Caldwell wins Meath Road Race Champs
Jack Caldwell won the Meath Road Race Championships last evening at Beauparc, Navan.
The Gerard-DHL man finished solo just ahead of Tim O’Regan of Killarney CC.
And rounding out the podium on the night was Navan Road Club’s Sean Nolan; the 16-year-old junior rider more than holding his own against the elites.
Caldwell broke clear on the third of five 8.8km laps. He led solo for a period before being joined a lap later by O’Regan.
The duo held off the chasers by about 10 seconds, with young Nolan showing his mettle to prove best of the rest for 3rd on the night.
