The national team and Irish champion Alice Sharpe were again right in the mix on the second and concluding stage of Kreiz Breizh Elites Dames (2.2) in France.

Lauren Creamer of the Irish team got up for 10th place in the bunch sprint that settled today's stage after 119km Ploumagoar.

That stage was won by Teniel Campbell of the UCI pro trade team. She had claimed stage 1 yesterday and repeated that performance today in the race leader's jersey.

Her team mate, and Irish national champion, Alice Sharpe had put in a near stage-long breakaway ride yesterday and hung on for 7th despite the escape being caught on the line.

Today Sharpe, who was wearing the climbers' jersey as she was 2nd in that competition, was forced into team duties to defend her team mate's race lead.
