Ireland's Eoin Mullen has been in action in the keirin event this afternoon, Saturday, at the UCI World Cup on the Manchester velodrome.
The Aran Islands man finished in 3rd place of four riders in round 1, which included world champion Jason Kenny.
The Team GB rider in the rainbow stripes was first home. Mullen then progressed to the repechage, where he went out of the competition.
Mullen still has the sprint event to fight for tomorrow, Sunday.
