Seth Dunwoody (Cannibal Victorious U19 Development Team) may have lost the yellow jersey on the stage 2 TT at Penn Ar Bed-Pays d'Iroise (2.1) in France on Sunday morning but the 16-year-old Irish rider bounced back in fine style in the afternoon road race to sweep all before him.

Adding to a great day out for Irish cycling - when Ben Healy (EF Education-EasyPost) and Megan Armitage (Arkéa Pro Cycling) also shone - Patrick Casey (Anexo Group Race Team) was 2nd while Cal Tutty (Munster Cycling Academy) put in a strong ride in the TT against international opposition.

Dunwoody and Casey made the nine-rider breakaway on Saturday's stage 1, with Dunwoody winning the sprint for victory and pulling out a gap of two seconds on the others. That meant Dunwoody went into the stage 2 TT on Sunday morning in yellow, two seconds up on those in the stage 1 breakaway, with Casey 6th.

In the 7.5km TT in Plougonvelin, Dunwoody's Ukrainian team mate, Daniil Yakovlev, took the victory on the same time was British rider Angus Stoneham (Zappi Junior Race Team). Another British rider, Alex Franks (Cannibal Victorious U19 Development Team), was 3rd at one second.

Joseph Cosgrove (Anexo Group Race Team) placed 4th, at five seconds, with Casey (Anexo Group Race Team) 5th, at eight seconds. Dunwoody placed 11th at 20 seconds, with Tutty placing 13th at 23 seconds.

The TT result meant Cosgrove took the yellow jersey by three seconds from Casey, with Dunwoody 3rd overall at 13 seconds and Tutty up to 16th at 1:19.
