Ireland has medal chances across the board at the UCI World Road Championships over the next week, with the first riders getting into action today, including some Irish cyclists.
We've assembled a day by day schedule of all Team Ireland's riders who will compete each day on next Sunday in the road race and TT events at elite, U23 and junior level.
Though the headline events today, on the opening day of Worlds 2024, are undoubtedly the elite men's and women's TT title races, Ireland will have no riders on those as Cycling Ireland has opted to focus on the road races.
However, there will be two tandems today in action, from 9:05am Irish time, in the Women's B TT. Paralympic TT champions Katie-George Dunlevy and pilot Linda Kelly will be gunning for gold while Josephine Healion and pilot Eve McCrystal will also be out for a medal.
