Jet-setting teenager Oisin O’Callaghan was in action again today after his world title win last weekend and there was no ‘curse of the rainbow bans’ for the Limerick man.
He has scored another huge victory just days after he won
gold at the World Downhill Championships in Austria last Sunday.
The 17-year-old was racing in his word champion’s kit for the first time at the UCI DH World Cup in Maribor, Slovenia, yesterday and today.

He got his campaign underway yesterday in the qualifying
round and was fastest of the 29-strong international field, some two seconds
faster than his nearest rival.
And when he was back in action again today in the final,
Irish rider O’Callaghan was again fastest of the field to take the World Cup
victory in the world champion’s jersey.
He claimed that victory from Dan Slack (Great Britain)
with Nuno Reis (Portugal) rounding out the podium.
O’Callaghan’s fellow Irishman Christopher Cumming also performed very strongly to take 10th place; a great result at this level.
