
Cormac Mcgeough, the Irish international rider, has taken stage 4 victory at Vuelta Ciclistica Guatemala. The Canel's-Java rider was out on his own at the end of 125km of racing from Mazatenango to Coatepeque today.
It was Mcgeough's fourth UCI-ranked victory of the last two seasons while the 28-year-old also claimed victory on stage 3 of Rás Tailteann this year into Cahir.
Mcgeough, who also claimed a stage victory on last year's Vuelta Ciclistica Guatemala, claimed victory today some 47 seconds up two other breakaway riders today; Jhonatan Stiven Chaves (Nu Colombia) and Donovan Ramírez (7C-Economy-Lacoinex).
