Emily Kay has taken a bronze medal for Ireland in the omnium at the UCI World Cup in Milton, Canada.
She laid the foundation for her medal-winning ride with victory in the tempo race.
That was added to with consistency in the other three events and resulted in her ending the Irish campaign with a bronze medal in what was the final World Cup meeting of the season.
The Irish team now faces the World Track Championships as its big showdown in its Olympic 2020 qualification bid.
Kay, who has switched to Ireland in recent months having previously ridden with considerable success for Great Britain, opened her omnium effort yesterday with 5th in the scratch race.
She then took victory in the tempo race followed by 8th in the elimination race and 9th in the points race.
That left her with a total of 102 points at the end of the contest.
The gold medal was won by American Jennifer Valente on 134 points from Italian Letizia Paternoster on 114 points.
Valente (25) is a three-time world champion in the team pursuit and rides as a road pro with trade team Sho-Air Twenty 20.
Paternoster (20) is a former Italian junior TT and road race champion who won nine European track titles as a junior and was world junior points race and team pursuit champion.
Emily Kay won gold at the junior Worlds in 2013 with the British team pursuit squad and gold in World Cups, in the team pursuit and omnium, as well as four medals at the elite Europeans – one bronze and three silvers – along with a bronze in the Commonwealth Games.
More to follow on the rest of the Irish in Canada.
