
Ian Richardson of UCD put in a stunning ride to win the Noel Hammond Memorial Time Trial in Roundwood, Co Wicklow.

Ian Richardson took victory in the Noel Hammond Memorial in Roundwood, Co Wicklow, today, which was run as a time trial for the second year in succession.
Richardson clocked a time of 45'22" on the rolling 35km circuit, beating his UCD teammate Greg Swinand by a minute and 11 seconds with John Lynch of Murphy Surveys third in a time of 48'53".
In a stunning ride against the clock, Richardson caught all of the A1 riders in the event, including second placed Swinand, and enjoyed the win by celebrating with a Fabian Cancellara style victory salute at the line.
