David Hamilton (North Down CC) won the opening stage of the Bogman 2-Day yesterday, winning a sprint from a break of five that came in 23 seconds ahead of James Davenport (Dunboyne CC) and a minute clear of the bunch. The big talking-point of the day however, was the 20-minute penalties handed down to Sean Lacey and Eoin O'Connell for taking an illegal tow. Today's second stage sees the riders tackle an 8k TT followed by an 85-kilometre afternoon stage.
