Graham Boyd has won the fourth round of the Ulster Cyclocross Series just one week after making the podium at the Belfast International.

Boyd got ahead early at Palace Stables, Armagh, in an event promoted by Square Wheels.

On the first lap of seven yesterday the eventual winner started as he intended to go on; quickest on the opening circuit.

And while he had a lead of just seconds after the first lap, he continued to pile it on.

Ray O’Shaughnessy (Cuchulainn CC) pushed him closest early and went out onto the second lap very close to Boyd.

But that was as close as anyone got; the McConvey Cycles man simply powering away to win by a little more every lap.

In the end he had 1:20 to spare over runner-up Lewis Ferguson (The Bike House). Ferguson got the better of Masters 40 rider Alan Bingham (Cuchulainn CC).

There were 47 seconds between 2nd and 3rd on the line but after them the result was tighter.
