
There may be some action left to unfold on the roads this season, and Irish riders still racing abroad, but the domestic cyclocross season is about to start, with GP Brian Kinning getting the 2022-23 campaign underway this Sunday.
The racing - for all categories - starts with the underage events at 9.50am while the elite A race, which ends he day, starts at 2.30pm. Entries are still open so if you have not already booked your place you can do so until 8pm this evening, Friday 16th, by following this link.
The race is organised by top road and cyclocross rider Glenn Kinning in memory of his father, Brian, and has proven a hit in recent seasons. It is being promoted at Orangefield Park, Belfast.
After the underage races from 9.50am, the women's, U14 and U16 actions starts at 11.30am, with B race starting at 1pm followed by the A race at 2.30pm.
Some additional info for those planning to race:
- Youths: All Youths must have a Cycling Ireland licence to participate. A licence can be purchased here. Any Youth Licence purchased for the CX season will be auto renewed for 2023.
- Adults: Non Cycling Ireland members over 18 can enter via the link here. An ODL (£18) will be charged in addition to the entry fee.
