Having looked in fantastic form since the drop of the first flag this season, Glenn Kinning has powered to another victory in Co Down today in the latest round of the Ulster Cyclocross Series.
The Kinning Cycles man stormed into an early lead on the Moira Demense course and put considerable daylight between himself and most of the rest of the field in the main event.
However, Darnell Moore (Caldwell Cycles) did not prove as easy to shake off; the Banbridge CC youngster keeping Kinning at around 10 seconds for much of the race.
And while that gap had gone out a little by the finish, it was another great ride for Moore who was victorious in round 4 of the series last weekend in Castle Park, Bangor.

However, Kinning was the clear winner and adds his victory today to his second place in the opening round of the Fixx Supercross Cup in Dublin last month and his two Ulster series wins before today.
He took round 1 in Lurgan Park on October 5th and again filled the top spot on the podium at Windmill Park in round 3 on October 19th.
Today’s ride made it three triumphs from three starts in the Ulster series as he missed rounds 2 and 4 in recent weeks.
In third place today was James Curry of Banbridge CC, with Barry Kellett (Dromara CC) 4th, Matt Adair (Banbridge CC) 5th and Cameron McIntyre, again of Banbridge CC, rounding out the top six home today.
