Fresh from his victory at the Ernie Magwood 10 Mile TT at the weekend, George Peden has taken another win at the Foyle CC TT League.
He recorded a time of 17mins 11seconds on the straight out 10 mile course, with the riders enjoying the benefit of a tailwind all the way.
And while the straight-out nature of the course means his time is not eligible to be considered as an Irish record, it was well below the national marker set by Ryan Mullen (Trek Segafredo) in 2014.
On that occasion Mullen, who is a top WorldTour tester and has taken medals at the Worlds and Europeans against the watch, set a blistering time of 17:42.
While Peden won on Wednesday evening in a time of 17:11, Mark McGinley was 2nd in 18:59 and Ciaran McVeigh was 3rd in 19:01.
Ciara Kelly was best woman on the night, in a time of 21:57, from Lisa Dunlop on 23:21.
