Aideen Keenan has taken the time trial stage 2 and moved into the overall lead of the Newcastle West Knights Women's Two Day in Co Limerick.
The opening flat road stage yesterday, over four laps of a 14km circuit, was won by Sinead Oakes of Nenagh.
She came home 23 seconds ahead of the peloton sprinting for 2nd to claim what was a fantastic victory.
Oakes was then 4th in the afternoon 8km time trial, some 29 seconds down on winner Keenan; the former Orwell Wheelers rider competing in the colours of DID Electrical Racing Team.
It meant Oakes slipped to 2nd overall, some 6 seconds behind stage 2 winner Keenan.
There remains a road stage this morning based on a hilly 20km lap, where splits are expected.

The top of the leader board is very tight, with Michelle O'Halloran of Lakeside Wheelers in 3rd place just 15 seconds off leader Keenan.
Maria Claffey of UCD CC is a further 10 seconds back in 4th place overall.
Just 53 seconds covers the top 10 meaning the destination of the final yellow jersey is still very much yet to be decided.
