Full results National TT Series Round 1, Dungannon, Co Tyrone

Marcus Christie has won the men's race at first round of new National TT Series. Christie (Banbridge CC) beat Conn McDunphy (EvoPro Racing) into 2nd place by a margin of 27 seconds over the 25.19 mile course in Dungannon, Co Tyrone, today. Lindsay Watson (Powerhouse Sport) claimed 3rd, some 1:15 down on Christie's winning time of 50:37.

In the women's race, the battle for victory was much closer with Eva Brennan (UCD Cycling Club) winning in a time of 1:06:10, just two seconds faster than runner-up Ciara Havern (Newry Wheelers CC). Katie Neill (TC Racing) took 3rd in a time of 1:09:56.

In the junior men's race, Conal Scully (Carlow RCC) ran out the clear winner in a time of 52:39, some 50 seconds faster than Adam Rafferty (US Colombiers), who was 2nd. Liam O’Brien (Fermoy CC) placed 3rd in a time of 55:30.

The National TT Series is a new concept and will feature four rounds, one in each of the provinces, this year.
