Mark Shannon of Burren CC has won the men's race at the PBC Builders Race Day run by Greenmount Cycling Academy at Limerick Racecourse just 24 hours after claiming the Crotty Cup in Co Clare. He took the win today in a sprint from a small group, with Barry Holian (Western Lakes CC) 2nd and Dermot Radford (Black House Racing) in 3rd.

In the women's race in Limerick today, international triathlete - and former junior road race champion - Ella Doherty of UCD Cycling Club was best and came away with victory. Today Doherty just about edged out Shauna Finn (Newcastle West Cycling Club), with Sinead Molloy (Tullamore CTC) a few lengths back in 3rd place in what was a three-up sprint for victory.
