Daire Feeley (All human-VeloRevolution) has won the men's main event at the Galway Classic today while Eve McCrystal (Bellurgan Wheelers) claimed victory in the women's race. Oisin Ferrity (Island Wheelers) emerged victorious in the A3-Junior race.

Feeley, who is on a roll in recent weeks, had time to celebrate his victory after finishing alone just ahead of a very strong four-man group. The sprint for the runner-up placing was a very tight one between Farley Barber (Spirit BSS) and JB Murphy (EvoPro Racing). Barber, a 20-year-old British rider just pipped Murphy on the line.

Also finishing in that chasing group with Barber and Murphy were Joe Wilson (Dolan Ellesse) and Dean Harvey (Dublin Spellman Port), who took 4th and 5th.

In the women's race Paralympic champion, and former national road race champion, Eve McCrystal beat Olympic sailing silver medalist Annalise Murphy, who was riding for Cycling Leinster, into 2nd place.

Top junior rider Erin Creighton (McConvey Cycles), who dominated the junior track national championships last weekend in Belfast, was 3rd.

The leading trio for away from the rest of the field on the first off-road section after about 15km. Creighton was later dropped by McCrystal and Murphy, with that duo going to the finish line for a two-up sprint to settle the honours.

McCrystal beat Murphy in that gallop to claim victory, with Creighton hanging on for 3rd place on the day behind them.

In the A3-Junior race, Oisin Ferrity took the victory from a three-man breakaway, with Derek Joyce and Ruairi Geraghty, both riding for Cycling Connaught, taking 2nd and 3rd.
