Simon Ryan has taken victory at the main event in the Greenmount Race Day at Limerick Racecourse for promoting club Greenmount Cycling Academy. Ryan topped the podium from Liam Crowley (UCD CC) and Evaldas Stankevicius (Greenmount CA).

Simon Ryan (Greenmount CA) took the win today in the main race, followed by Liam Crowley (UCD CC) and Evaldas Stankevicius (Greenmount CA).
Ryan got the verdict in the A1-A2-A3-Junior race in a bunch sprint after an aggressive contest in which a breakaway from the A1s, featuring six riders, got across to the limit group first.

The rest of the scratch riders made the catch a little later and from that point the race was saw further attacks play out, though nothing stuck, paving the way for a sprint won by Ryan.

In the women's race Shona Keane of promoting club Greenmount CA took the verdict ahead of Shauna Finn (Newcastlewest CC) and Eva Donovan (Black House Racing).
