The most prolific rider on the domestic scene this year, Fraser Duncan took his fifth win of the year in Drogheda today when he out-sprinted a five man lead group at the end of the Coombes-Conor Memorial.

Last night's Peter Bidwell Memorial winner Sean McKenna of UCD was the only southern rider in the newly formed five man escape group when an earlier 10 man move fractured with four of nine laps remaining.

Alongside the student were Conor Murphy of Caldwell Cycles, Newry's Cormac Clarke and the Dave Kane Cycles duo of Duncan and Adam Armstrong. This quintet built up a lead of over two and a half minutes on the rest of the peloton by the finish, with Armstrong leading out teammate Duncan in the sprint to the line.

The Belfast duo took a one-two for the Northern team knicknamed 'the fluorotrain' for their fluorescent team kit with their former teammate Murphy having to settle for third.
