Ireland's Felix English sprints in for top pro result, though mistakenly celebrates "victory"

Felix English celebrates what he thought was another pro criterium victory in the UK last night, not realising another rider had broken clear for the win.

Former national criterium champion, Felix English continued his good run of form at the Tour Series in the UK last night when he took second place in round seven in Redditch.

Having taken victory at the previous round of the professional criterium series in Aberystwyth, Wales, the Irish U23 international finished second behind Matthieu Boulo of Team Raleigh after he soloed to victory with two laps to go last night.

Not knowing Boulo was up the road however, English threw his hand in the air thinking he had taken his second Tour Series win in a row.

Boulo also won the Costa Express Fastest Lap prize on the night, while Kristian House won the evening's sprint competition.

English’s Rapha Condo JLT squad however filled the next three places behind Boulo to give them a dominant win in the team event.
