Feeley makes no mistake as EvoPro Racing take it all at Rás Mhaigh Eo

Daire Feeley has won the final stage of Rás Mhaigh Eo, claiming the victory today in the race leader’s jersey.

The Roscommon rider took the race lead
in yesterday afternoon’s stage 2 TT after he and EvoPro Racing team mate
Mitchell McLaughlin had attacked the breakaway during the morning stage and
gained time on it.

While McLaughlin won that opening stage from Feeley, the afternoon TT yesterday saw McLaughlin lose time and so Feeley moved into the race lead. And today on the final stage of the two-day race Feeley defended the race lead in the best possible way, by winning the stage.

overall; Feeley running out the overall winner from team mate McLoughlin by 18
seconds. Joel Luke of UCD Cycling Club rounded out the final podium, some 56
seconds down on Feeley.

Maeve Gallagher, the international triathlete competing for Castlebar CC, won the women’s category while the climbers’ classification went to Conor Kissane (Killarney CC).
